Does anyone know what is being built on Prospect between Starr and Main St? At first I assumed it was nothing exciting but then I saw an ad for "pre
construction condiminiums on Prospect Street" on craigslist. Anyone have info?

I presumed they were building more condos like the ones above Iron Hill. Although I thought it was really stupid because they're eating up the parking for
the existing condos to build the new ones. Not sure where they think all these condo dwellers will park. Or who's going to buy an 'owner occupied
condo' in this economy....

12 new condos, with parking for the new condos below the building itself, a sort of internal open parking garage, but not seperate/individual garages. The use
of that space doesn't interfere with the pre-designated, paid parking of the original condos at all.

The project is intriguing. Hopefully the underground garage will at least ensure this doesn't cause ADDITIONAL parking problems. I wonder how it will
compare to the Byrne and Washington Mill Lofts. After the price reductions of those, this project's units are currently priced higher.

I received specs and pricing for these. They want 270K for a 2 BR/2.5 BA - 50K more than Byrne's 2 BR/2 BA (with roughly same square footage). Except these
do not come with a fridge or washer/dryer. Byrne and Washington Mill are struggling with much lower prices, and seemingly better units - I do not know what
this builder is thinking asking 270K in this market.

What's the intended square footage? I just don't know how they'll fit 19 condos in three floors..... And $270k is obscene!

The largest unit (of which there is only one) is 1190 sf ($227/sf). The reason they can fit so many is because 16 of the 19 condos will be under 630 sf (and
priced at 180K they will be over $285/sf). Also, there are 4 floors. Either way, I am sure they will come down in price when they realize noone will pay that
and their competition is charging much less.
