My GF and I went, and it turned out to be the first night open. We gave them the benefit of doubt. My first impression was the scene just inside their front door. A weird little bar in the entrance lobby, and a guy just leaning/hanging on it. Gave me a little bit of weird feeling as I though we walked in the wrong door.

Food, as compared to other Mexican places we frequent, was awful. We ate it, and waited for some time to be attended to, ie; where's the check?

Just saw a sign out about them having a grand opening this week.. We certainly won't be going back. Perhaps they shouldn't have opened so early if they weren't ready for business!

Ate there last week with my gf. Still only cash. No CC's.

Food was really good, portions were moderate, and the service was attentive.

I will go back.

Do they still not take credit cards? I thought that was a fluke the first time I was there since it was shortly after they opened... what kind...

The service is the biggest problem. The food is good and they have a great tequila selection, but I never carry enough cash to order more than a drink or two. I understand the cost of credit card services, but in these days who carries around $100 in cash?

Yeah, we've gone again, and the kinks are still there -- very disappointing. The food we ate was very good, but its just ridiciluous to have been open for this long and still not have some items, to not have wait staff figured out, etc. I'll give them one more shot.... we'll see.

I was really disappointed. The margaritas were so weak, we weren't sure they actually put any liquor in them! The waitress came over and she first told us what they didn't have and then told us that they "just ran out" of what we ordered. It had been open at least a month when we went and just wasn't the more authentic mexican food that we were looking for. It was okay, but we probably won't go again.

I went two Saturdays ago. Hubby and I thought it was good, lots of potential. At that point, they had only been open two days, so it seems there were kinks to iron out still. But, the service was good, food was good (although they didn't have certina menu items just yet, and forgot to add sides of sr cream, gauc and tomatoes to my order of tacos... no big deal, it helped me with my diet!), margaritas were good, chips and salsa very good, and the decor was great! No, they didn't carve...

Is that place new? Did they carve off part of La Taverna or was it something else previously? Anyone been? Reviews? They have a liquor license right?
